Narrabri, a small town of many wonders, Mt Kaputar National Park and a true gem of natural beauty – Sawn Rocks, when I first saw them many years ago, I was filled with wonder; volcanic rocks looking like giant pipes from a cathedral organ. The 6 dishes of the CSIRO Australia Telescope are only 25km west of Narrabri and well worth a visit as well as the Australian Cotton Exhibition Centre, even if cotton growing is not a popular subject in Australia at present, still worth a visit to see how a Cotton Gin works. Oh, and by the way, did you know it takes double the amount of water to grow Lucerne (know in the USA) than cotton!!!! A farmer who grows Lavender and Lucerne told us that little gem!
A record of two Baby Boomers (The Canzaus Kids) who travelled around Australia -Gonewanderland between 2009 and 2011. We continue to travel Australia, and this Blog will now also be used to share our adventures in other lands, with word nd photographs. - 2018
